Exercise

Exercise need not be running

Jogging or Running

Those who follow Pdazzler know we manage, control and cure cancer using four premises. Those are a natural healthy diet, stress reduction, detoxification and exercise. Every leg of this four legged stool is important to your success. Depending on the individual one may need more attention than another.

In the early years (following my own cancer diagnosis) I depended a great deal on exercise. I had a cancer survivor mentor who attributed his very survival to exercise. When he was diagnosed he underwent traditional therapy, enjoyed a year or so and then had a massive re-occurrence which was severe enough no further treatment was contemplated.

He quit his 9 to 5 pressure cooker job, traveled west to Oregon and took a position as a camp counselor. In the beginning he tired easily but as the summer passed he began feeling better. He went from easy jogging to entering foot races before the fall closed the camp for the year.

Upon returning to the city his parents lived in he visited his oncologist. Both were amazed to find his cancer was in complete remission.

In reflection it is easy to see his move west involved a complete change in lifestyle including diet, stress reduction, exercise and probably detoxification as well. Never the less Bob said the exercise was his personal key to his terminal cancer’s remission.

In my own early studies of cancer patients those that become survivors made regular moderate exercise a big part of their success story. As the years have passed I have gained an understanding of why exercise to cancer survivors is so critical.

Two physiological reasons may not be apparent to all but play a crucial role. First, cancer grows and thrives on glucose. A fact all cancer patients should be aware of. Smart individuals avoid sugar, high fructose corn syrup and processed carbohydrates for this reason.

Exercise, in addition to cardio benefits, uses glucose that would have been destined to grow the cancer. The glucose is taken up by the muscles for both exercise and regeneration following exercise. (The regeneration glucose uptake can last up to 17 hours.)

Secondly, exercise increases the level of oxygen in the blood. Oxygen has this great benefit of encouraging cancer apoptosis (die off). By engaging in moderate exercise for a minimum of 45 minutes daily you are helping your immune system to remove any cancer cells naturally.

Part of any cancer regimen should be regular exercise. Exercise works hand in hand with stress reduction, diet, and detoxification to cure cancer and keep you cancer free.
