Maintenance Cocktail

Building a Maintenance Cancer Cocktail

This maintenance anti-cancer cocktail was built in March 2005 following fNHL returning to a state of remission.  It is here so you understand the process and realize cancer cocktails and protocols continually change and evolve.  It is reprinted from 2006 to help the reader understand the process.

6000 mg Vitamin C  (avoid time release)
400 i.u. Vitamin E (natural alpha-topherol)
25,000 i.u. Vitamin A as Beta Carotene
*200 mg Alpha-Lipoic Acid
*2000 i.u. Vitamin D (Cod Liver Oil)
*4 oz. Essiac Tea (2 oz. morn/eve)
4.5 mg Low Dose Naltrexone at bedtime
250 mcg Chromium Picolinate
*400 mcg Selenium
200 mg Magnesium
25 mg Zinc
1 Daily Multi-Vitamin / Mineral Tablet
360 mg Saw Palmetto added last 5 years
*7 – 10 Apricot Seeds daily (Laetrile)*New or ModifiedThis is my maintenance cocktail. When cancer was active I was on the more aggressive “modified vitamin cocktail”.If you read my original cocktail (previous page) and modified cocktail you probably noted we returned to our previous (prior to fNHL relapse) level of Vitamin C.

We left Selenium at the higher dose because of recent research on Selenium and cancer.

I have decided to continue a regime with
Low Dose Naltrexone which is taken at bedtime.  It’s my belief the increased endorphins created may be important to remaining in remission.   It’s relatively inexpensive and I consider it kind of an insurance policy.I reduced the level of (5 Herb) Essiac Tea to 4 oz. daily. Sharp eyed readers may notice I added apricot seeds to my cocktail for maintenance.  Laetrile (B-17) is probably the most controversial alternative cancer treatment there is.I had several cancer survivors write me personally that they regularly take apricot seeds (B-17) as a preventative measure.  All of them have been in remission for a considerable period of time.  The price was right and the downside is nil.I hope and believe this maintenance cocktail will help me remain in remission forever.  Of course, exercise, diet and stress are also all important.   Time will tell.  – Pdazzler

Staying on Offense

Starting in 2006, with my return to remission, I have become more proactive in my daily regimens to keep NHL at bay.  I now consider my daily regimen to be “playing defense” against this disease.

I’ve pretty much concluded that NHL, like most cancers, can adapt to most any regimen given enough time and allowing for us to let our guard down even for a short period of time.  That being the case I now go on offense several times a year in an attempt to put my cancer on the defense.

In 2007 I’m having my 8 amalgam fillings replaced.  I also have done a number of short term actions, in addition to my normal regimen to put this disease on the defense.  Things like a 30 day stint on Dr. Kelly’s enzyme cleanse, a 30 day stint on PawPaw, and a period of time on cottage cheese, flax oil and curcumin.  If your interested find more information on my blog Pdazzler.com

If you have poked around the Pdazzler cancer blog you realize I had another relapse following amalgam removal. That ordeal was brought about by improper mercury detoxification following the proceedure. (If you’re contemplating amalgam removal I suggest you read my 5-part post detailing the correct process so you don’t suffer my fate.)
